My part of an art trade with bladebandit

I know it was supposed to be just a flat colour trade, but I got carried away and ended up adding shading too. I've not drawn digitally in Photoshop for such a long time. I'm hoping to get back into it again, I'd love to work in a more realistic style in my digital work as well as my traditional stuff.

Wow, this is awesome! ;_; Gosh the first thing I noticed was how cool and unique that pose is. o: So different, and you've pulled it off nicely! <3 I really like all the different angles to his paws and his happy expression. c: The tail looks great too! Really well drawn and lovely positioning, it doesn't just look as though it's like, an added extra. It actually curls under his body. Soooo awesome. :D

And theeeeen his face. Super happy, and I really like the shape to his snout and those fuzzy cheeks. <3 And those beautiful shiny eyes as well! Eeeeee

And the SHADING. Wow, it really is great! Very smooth! :D It shows the shapes and structures to his body really well, and the liiiighttttiiiingggg. From the tail. Aaaaah. It looks so cool. ;_; I mean the tail looks pretty and glowy-flame enough, but that pink-purple tone highlighting over the whole picture looks amazing. ;_; Thank yooooooou!

I'll just go post your half now. :D Thanks for trading!

Ah! Thank you so much! I'm so happy that you like it. You have left such a lovely comment too!

It was really fun to do the pose, I wanted to try something a bit different and incorporate the tail into the pose too.

Thank you! I had a bit of trouble with the shading as I've not done digital art in a while. I'm glad I didn't give up on it though.
With the glow from the tail creating a light source all of its own, I just had to add glowing highlights and shadow X3

You're welcome! I can't wait to see your half.
Thank you so much for doing a trade with me. (Again, sorry it took a little longer than I intended it to ^^; ) it was a lot of fun. I'm glad we did this trade c:
